Overview

The Inventory tab provides a detailed table of your catalog, covering physical products or services. It includes critical operational metrics such as pricing, stock levels, reorder points, warehouse allocations, and physical specs (e.g., dimensions, weight).

When adding inventory items, you can create a comprehensive database of your products that becomes a valuable resource for your entire operation. Each item you add can later be quickly selected when creating sales orders, purchase orders, or invoices. This streamlines your workflow since you won't need to re-enter product details - simply select the pre-loaded item from your catalog, and all specifications, pricing, and tracking information will automatically populate your forms.

Adding new items to your inventory is a straightforward process - simply complete the product information form, and your item will be ready for immediate use.

1.Items

  • Main Info

    • Item Name

      • Name of the Item, that is being sold

    • Category

      • Item has to be selected, as we are creating inventory for selling product

    • Unit

      • Unit of Measure

    • Price/Unit

      • Price for which that particular unit is being sold

    • Description

      • Description of that item

  • Additional Info

    • Dimensions

    • Weight

    • SKU

    • UPC

    • MPN

    • EAN

  • Item Details

    Businesses dealing with products benefit from the Item Details section, which provides granular control over inventory. Monitor real-time stock levels

    • Stock

      The system allows you to adjust opening stock and reorder points as needed. It includes an automated notification feature to alert your team when stock reaches reorder points.

      • Total Stock on Hand: Current physical inventory across all warehouses

      • Processing Stock: Inventory allocated to ongoing orders

      • Available Stock: Remaining inventory for new orders

    • Info

      • Information and details about the item, that was added

    • Invoices

      • Invoices that were raised, and paid for this specific product/item

    • History

      • History of all changes that happened, including stock adjustment would be available for users to review and take action accordingly

2. Discounts:

Discounts can be highly beneficial for small businesses when implemented strategically. For customer acquisition, discounts serve as an effective tool to attract new customers who might be hesitant to try a new business, create initial foot traffic, and help compete with larger businesses while building local market awareness.

In terms of inventory management, discounts help clear slow-moving stock, reduce storage costs, minimize waste for perishable items, and free up capital tied to inventory. They also provide significant cash flow benefits by generating quick cash during slow periods, creating predictable revenue through promotions, helping meet immediate financial obligations, and reducing holding costs of excess inventory.

    • Markdown of all the items at one time, based on seasonal discounts, to be applied during checkout

  • Individual Items ( Manual Price)

    • Manual price to be updated, individually for each item, to reflect the discounted price, instead of applying a % of discount at checkout

3. Warehouses:

Products could be stored in multiple warehouses, and distributed from those warehouses, based on location proximity of supply chain. This helps in identifying the stock on hand and different metrics related to those products and warehouses.​

4. Stock Management

As part of the automated system, Jugl allows businesses to edit Opening Stock and set Reorder Points for each product. When inventory reaches a certain level, the system automatically triggers a notification, ensuring timely reordering to prevent stockouts.
